Job Description

Description – Reception & Billing Executive

Position: Receptionist & Billing Executive

Department: Front Office / Patient Services

Reports to: Center Head / Admin Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Front Office & Reception

Greet and receive patients/visitors in a polite and professional manner.

Handle patient registration, appointment scheduling, and rescheduling.

Guide patients to respective doctors, departments, or diagnostic areas.

Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide accurate information.

Maintain the front office area in a clean, welcoming, and organized manner.

Billing & Cashiering

Generate bills for consultations, lab tests, procedures, and hospital services.

Collect payments (cash, card, UPI, online) and issue receipts.

Ensure correct entry of patient details, services, and discounts as per hospital policy.

Maintain daily cash collection reports and reconcile with accounts.

Coordinate with insurance desk/TPA for cashless billing where applicable.

Administrative Support

Maintain patient records in the hospital information system (HIS/ERP).

Assist in preparing daily reports (footfall, billing, collection).

Support admission and discharge procedures (in hospitals).

Escalate patient complaints/issues to the concerned authority.

Skills & Competencies:

Pleasant personality with good communication & customer service skills.

Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, HIS/ERP software).

Accuracy in billing, cash handling, and data entry.

Ability to multitask in a busy hospital/clinic environment.

Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Graduate / Diploma in Hospital Administration / Commerce preferred.

Training in customer service or hospital management is an added advantage.

Experience:

Fresher or 1–2 years of experience in healthcare front office, billing, or customer service.

Work Environment:

Hospital reception, diagnostic centers, or specialty clinics.

Shift duties may be required (morning/evening).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,911.39 - ₹22,125.37 per month
