Working on behalf of a leading asset management firm who are looking to add a Software Engineer proficient in either Python or C# to join one of their front office trading teams.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

Required:
• 3+ years of work experience as a backend developer, with proficiency in Python and/or C#.
• Solid experience with messaging solutions such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace.
• Demonstrated ability in code optimization, performance tuning, and testing.
• Good understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.

Preferred:
• Some exposure to or understanding of energy/commodity markets (e.g., Power, Gas, Oil, Coal, Metals, Emissions) is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with OTC products (forwards, swaps, options, swaptions) is a plus.
