About the Role

We are building a new AI-driven product from the ground up and are looking for a Fullstack Engineer who is passionate about innovation, prototyping, and product development. As the Fullstack Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the product's technical direction and architecture. This is a hands-on individual contributor role, with the added responsibility of mentoring and managing junior Engineers as the team grows.

You’ll be working directly with the founders and product stakeholders to develop Proof of Concepts (POCs), define the tech stack, and take the product through all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) — from ideation and experimentation to deployment and scaling.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and iterate on POCs for new AI-powered product features
• Lead end-to-end development of scalable web applications (frontend and backend)
• Collaborate with product and AI/ML teams to integrate APIs and machine learning models
• Make strategic decisions around architecture, tooling, and infrastructure
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in production environments
• Define coding standards, documentation practices, and development workflows
• Mentor and oversee junior engineers as the team expands
• Own the full SDLC: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance

Required Skills and Experience
• Strong experience in fullstack development
• Proven track record of building and deploying web applications
• Experience working on AI/ML product POCs, model integration, or API-based ML services
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
• Solid grasp of frontend & backend technologies
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, cloud services like AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Ability to quickly prototype and iterate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and startup mindset
• Leadership experience or potential to mentor and manage a small team

Nice to Have
• Experience with MLOps or ML model lifecycle
• Familiarity with LLMs, vector databases, or AI service platforms (OpenAI, HuggingFace, Pinecone, etc.)
• Exposure to data engineering and data pipeline design
• Previous experience in a startup or product development from scratch
