4 months initial contract with 12 month possible extensions.
Location: Canberra with hybrid work arrangements
Baseline security clearance is mandatory
Bridge IT Engineering is seeking multiple Full-Stack Web Developer to work for our large Federal Government client.
Key duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance web applications based on user needs and team priorities.
Write clean, secure, and well-tested code that is maintainable and reusable.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Maintain and operate deployed services, proactively identifying and resolving production issues.
Develop intuitive user interfaces and seamless backend integrations.
Contribute to a continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) cadence to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Strong proficiency in React.js or Angular, including modern features like hooks, context API, and state management.
Experience with backend development, preferably using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and experience optimising data storage and retrieval.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data processing (e.g., Azure, Databricks).
Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) and security best practices.
Knowledge of Web Apps, Azure Function Apps, and Logic Apps.
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including containerization (Docker) and cloud deployments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
Essential criteria
1. Demonstrated experience developing ETL/ELT processes for complex and/or large data movement, transformation and/or visualisations, particularly in a cloud environment.
2. Experience preparing data optimised for query performance in cloud computed engines. E.g. • Distributed computing engines (Spark) • Azure SQL • Python • R
3. Experience working with Engineering, Storage and Analytics services in cloud infrastructure.
4. Experience working collaboratively in an agile development team
