Full Time Waiter

Job description
You will work as a team with other servers, support workers and all restaurant employees to provide memorable service to our patrons while also fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment for all.

You will report to the Supervisor on Duty, or in some cases directly to the Restaurant Manager.
• Responsibilities:

- Make sure you are on time for your shift and have familiarized yourself with your section, any special circumstances for the shift and any daily specials there may be.
- You will answer to, report to, and follow direction from Supervisor(s) and Manager(s) on Duty.
- Hold yourself to a high standard when it comes to any customer interactions. You must always be professional but approachable. Your interactions with guests are a huge part of their overall experience at Dessert Yard.
- Assist co-workers where you can help exceed the expectations of guests - but be self aware of your limits - do not let your own duties noticeably faulter to help a co-worker.
- Responsible for working quickly to resolve guest issues on the fly and involving a supervisor when needed.
- Ensure all daily, weekly, etc. tasks assigned to you are completed properly and signed off on.
- You must perform principal server tasks (greeting, order taking, POS entering, clearing, billing and flipping) with diligence.
- You must abide by all health and safety regulations. You must report any unsafe working conditions immediately to your supervisor.
• Requirements:

- 1 years working as a server or something comparable in hospitality/customer service.
- Able to help create an inclusive, positive environment and an exceptional experience for all those you encounter at Dessert Yard.
- Ability to independently prioritize tasks in a mental list.
- Ability to problem solve, think on your feet and maintain professional, polite composure while doing so.
- Must have an eye for detail and be energetic towards food and the entire industry.
- Takes initiative to satisfy the needs of all customers so the service feels seamless.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and math skills needed.

Pay: $15.20-$17.00 per hour
