The Role



Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller and working within a team of +, this is a compelling opportunity for a fund accountant experienced in private equity to advance their career. This role will see you taking accountability for 3 main funds that have multiple entities across Australia.



Day to Day Responsibilities



 Month-end close process, including but not limited to:

o Ensure monthly prepayments are correctly amortized posted to the general ledge (GL);

o Ensure monthly accruals are correctly accounted for and posted to the GL;

o Prepare balance sheet reconciliations;

o Reconcile PAYG and GST with supporting documentation, cleared in the GL and lodged with both the ATO and Inland Revenue;

o Reconcile all intercompany loans;

o Set up new fixed assets and run depreciation for the relevant entities;

o Calculate intercompany recharges; and

o Collate tax information for tax agents and review tax calculations

 Consolidate several entities and ensure accuracy of eliminations.

 Appropriately account for equity accounted investments and joint ventures.

 Appropriately account for foreign currency transactions and foreign operations (e.g. FCTR, exchange rate differences etc.).

 Appropriately account for investment properties and property, plant & equipment (e.g., depreciation, fair value gains, impairments, OCI for PPE).

 Debt covenant calculations.

 Ensure monthly interest accruals, interest rate hedge, FX hedge, borrowing costs and MTM entries are posted in the GL.

 Collaborating with other teams in the Group to work on various accounting projects (e.g. for acquisitions ensuring finance related tasks are followed up such as registration of entities, for ABN and GST, Opening bank accounts, etc).

 Work on finance projects (e.g. assist in implementing new finance systems).

 Assist in internal audits,

 Process and review expense claims for executives (using Concur).

 Play a key role during the year-end audit process providing and managing all year-end audit deliverables.

 Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

 To meet all reasonable deadlines committed to clients and colleagues.

 To promptly inform the Financial Controller of any matters of issues that may cause conflicts, problems, or other risks to the Pro-invest Group, our clients, investors and partners.

 To continuously enhance your skills, experience and knowledge through (self)-education in order that you can take on greater responsibility.

 To comply with policies set by the company and to enhance these policies through your contributions.

 Liaise and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 Perform other duties as required including at the request of Senior Financial Controller.







About You



At least 4 years Fund Accounting experience within a Property Fund investment environment
CPA/ CA qualified
A demonstrated exceptional and precise ability to detect irregularities in transactional data.
Well-versed in accounting principles, with expertise in organising and preserving financial records.
Skilled in overseeing monthly financial closures and consolidating multiple entities.
Experienced in managing investments across equities, foreign currencies, and property assets.
Effective collaborator on projects with a focus on enhancing accounting systems.
Communicates effectively with stakeholders to foster strong professional relationships.
Dedicated to ongoing professional growth and adherence to regulatory standards.
