Qualifications

Majored in chemical engineering/chemistry/environmental engineering/mechanical engineering
More than 3 years of experience in gas/chemical systems in the semiconductor industry
Familiar with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/AutoCAD software
High level of willingness to learn
Possess independent thinking and operational abilities
Ability to innovate and think flexibly
May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain
Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator
Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment
Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces
Responsibilities
Design engineers works closely with manufacturing, facility teams, suppliers and vendors daily to understand systems reliability and quality concerns and work to resolve issues
Participate in the design and contracting of the new fab G&C system
Design supply system that meets the localized operational needs while maintaining supply quality requirements
Implement design in accordance with international regulations
Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects
The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment, and parts

TSMC Arizona is looking for a Gas and Chemical System Design Engineer to join our 5-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a Gas and Chemical System Design Engineer, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values – Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust.

The Gas and Chemical System Design Engineer is responsible for participating in the Design and Contracting of the new Fab G&C systems. Our systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without factory interruption, creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment. Design engineers works closely with manufacturing, facility teams, suppliers and vendors daily to understand systems reliability and quality concerns and work to resolve issues.

Job Description:

Your main responsibilities include:
• Participate in the design and contracting of the new fab G&C system
• Design supply system that meets the localized operational needs while maintaining supply quality requirements
• Implement design in accordance with international regulations

Recruitment Requirements:
• Majored in chemical engineering/chemistry/environmental engineering/mechanical engineering
• More than 3 years of experience in gas/chemical systems in the semiconductor industry
• PE qualification is preferred
• Familiar with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/AutoCAD software
