Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing motorcoaches, buses, and other large commercial vehicles
The successful candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, using specialized tools and equipment, and have a strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
Manages day-to-day operations of the fleet maintenance
Maintains, repairs, and overhauls company vehicles
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of complicated tasks
Directs the work of others
Works without direct supervision with latitude for independent judgment
Ensures compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal and Company requirements
Maintain the bus and coach fleets, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and free from mechanical defects
Schedules outside maintenance, or repair facility work as needed
Conduct diagnostic tests, perform repairs, and carry out routine services to ensure our fleet is always in top working condition
Inspect all key vehicle components, such as brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and engines, to ensure they meet factory specifications
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and AC systems, gas/diesel engines, and other parts as needed
Address and resolve driver vehicle write-up requests in a timely and efficient manner
Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on the fleet, adhering to DOT, EPA, and OSHA rules and regulations
Test drive all company vehicles regularly to identify malfunctions and ensure they are functioning properly
Install and repair accessories, adjust seats and doors, and perform other related tasks as required
Complete all necessary training and continuing education requirements to stay up-to-date on the latest repair and maintenance techniques
Be available to work extended hours when needed, especially during busy seasons
Maintain a safe working environment at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures
Be available for after hours when needed, or be willing to adjust work times to adhere with the needs of the business
Perform all job functions in the safest manner adhering to OSHA guidelines & other applicable Federal& State laws
Execute all job duties while following company policy and procedure

Job Purpose

For over 20 years, we have been a transportation provider in Middle Tennessee as a limo/sedan car service. A few years ago, we moved over into the Coach Bus Charter world and now have a small fleet of van, bus, mini-bus, motorcoach. We operate Sprinter, Ford, Freightliner, Temsa, Vanhool, and Prevost in Nashville, Tennessee.
