General Labourer (summer student)

H. L. Blachford is a chemical manufacturing company which produces chemical powders, liquids, and lubricants for drawing wire and other products. To qualify students should be enrolled in post secondary education in the fall of 2026 and are looking for 40 hours a week from about mid-May until the end of August.

As a General Labourer you would be responsible for packaging products, cleaning or housekeeping responsibilities, assisting operators in making batches, plus other tasks as required. Our chosen candidate should have some experience in a manufacturing environment. We are looking for a task focused person who can take on various tasks competently including assisting the operators in making product batches and setting up equipment for production runs.

Skills and Education requirements:

· Must be physically able to move and lift containers up to 50lbs
· At least a basic level of math is needed
· A good level of verbal and written English is required
· Some experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
· Some previous experience using manufacturing machines or similar equipment
Rotational shifts:

Shift 1 - 6:30am-3:00pm
Shift 2 - 2:30pm-11:00pm
Shift 3 - 10:30pm - 7:00am
