The Role:
Are you a skilled maintenance worker with an eye for detail and a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for a Part-Time General Maintenance Worker to join our team at Adara, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests and residents by keeping our property in top-notch condition.
As a General Maintenance Worker, you’ll work closely with our Maintenance Manager to ensure that all aspects of the property are maintained to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in building or hotel maintenance who wants to contribute to the success of a growing team in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance tasks across the property and individual units, ensuring they are always in excellent condition.
Carry out preventative maintenance to help avoid larger repairs and minimize downtime.
Assist in carpentry, electrical, and other specialized maintenance tasks when needed.
Maintain the pool, including testing and adjusting chemicals in compliance with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) requirements.
Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Respond to repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in building, hotel, or general maintenance.
Willingness to complete the Pool Smart course if not already certified.
Experience with carpentry and electrical work is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
Salary and Team Perks:
$23-$25 hourly based on experience and qualifications.
