As General Manager, you will report to the Mayor and an eight-member Council, serving as the primary link between the Council and the organisation.

Your role involves providing strategic advice and executive support to guide policy development and implementation, leading the organisation with a focus on community engagement, strategic management, and a performance-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing daily operations.
Ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
Managing risks.
Delivering on strategic and operational plans.
Building a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services.
Fostering a values-based organisational culture aligned with the Council's vision and community priorities.
We seek a dynamic and progressive leader with proven senior leadership experience, ideally within local government or a similar environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, alongside a track record of fostering collaboration, community engagement, and organisational excellence.

Comprehensive knowledge of governance, legislative compliance, and risk management is essential, as are outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
