On the back of our continued success and a strong backlog of upcoming projects we have a current vacancy for a GIS Consultant to join the business. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for spatial data, digital technology and data management.

In this role your primary responsibilities will include:

Contribute to the continuous improvement of GIS processes and procedures
Managing spatial data sets in accordance with company processes
Documenting data workflows as systems and processes evolve
Attention to detail with regards to naming conventions, metadata and cartographic products
Production of high-quality cartographic outputs using ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro
Development of Web Maps and Apps in ArcGIS Online, using corporate data and external third-party web services
Maintenance of Online Spatial Content, Group maintenance, Member permissions and Licencing via ArcGIS Online
Deployment of web maps for mobile GIS data collection using ESRI Field Maps or Survey123
Assisting with general information management processes using ArcGIS and Microsoft SharePoint
Undertaking data interrogation and manipulation – particularly regarding environmental features, cadastral and land use
Export and provision of spatial data deliverables for clients and sub-contractors
Revision control management of published data sets
Strong knowledge of spatial data conversion tools to different formats using spatial ETL tools
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Capacity to work as an active team member in a multi-disciplinary team, to produce consistently high-quality work in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Demonstrated experience in effective time management, setting work priorities, and keeping appropriate work records.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills (oral and written) and demonstrated commitment to building and maintaining close professional relationships
Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Office based role
As our ideal candidate you will have:

Relevant qualifications in GIS or Spatial Science
Previous experience (1-3 years) in the Environmental, Planning or Engineering sectors is advantageous
Proven Experience and working knowledge of the ESRI suite of products: ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
Experience in the configuration of Field Maps and Survey 123, testing, troubleshooting and deployment
High level of cartographic skills for data presentation in report-based maps and web maps.
Experience with utilising a range of data (raster and vector) from different sources and formats
Experience using Arcade, SQL
Experience in Model Builder, FME\Data Interoperability will be advantageous
This role is based in Attexo’s Fortitude Valley office.
