Job Description:

The Global Operational Excellence Consultant is primarily responsible for executing large-scale process change efforts and providing ongoing coaching and training to resources within those efforts. The incumbent will consult, coach, and train business sponsors, leadership, and teams through process improvement engagements, carrying responsibility for project management, change management, consultation, and coaching, while holding accountability for the design, execution, and value delivery. As an influential advocate of continuous improvement, the Solutions Consultant serves as a primary resource across the enterprise about Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and principles.

ROLE SUMMARY
• Requires specialized knowledge and expertise in their job discipline and deep experience in integrating related disciplinary knowledge (i.e., investment strategies, products, and operations)
• Leads disciplinary or cross-functional programs of notable risk; uses sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.
• Accountable for work of self and others; sets standards around which others will operate.
• Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
• Acts as advisor to management and key external stakeholders on broad-ranging projects

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Defines, develops, and implements fit-for-purpose solutions to improvement opportunities.
• Determines where measurement gaps exist and implements measurement plans and designates ownership to fill those gaps.
• Reviews operational data/metrics, analyzes and synthesizes the data, then compiles it into reports or presentations.
• Navigates across the business to effectively complete tasks.
• Develop consultative partnerships with internal teams and leaders to understand their strategic objectives, key performance indicators, and reporting requirements.
• Responsible for analyzing and defining business process-related issues, opportunities, and enhancements and implementing solutions.
• Effectively communicates the underlying meaning of the analyses, which ultimately translates to actionable intelligence.
• Ensures implementation of improvements meets or exceeds the established key performance indicators.
• Leads special projects/initiatives for the function of our business unit.
• Direct and assist teams to elicit, challenge, and prioritize root-cause issues, translate into solutions, and establish control to ensure continued measurement of business value and identification of further improvement opportunities.
• Manages the project scope, objectives, constraints, assumptions, and progress toward completion for a large, strategic program.
• Exercises sound judgment balancing project risks and making prompt decisions to mitigate risks in ambiguous or tricky situations.
• Serves as a resource to build continuous improvement capabilities across the business by coaching/mentoring/training more junior staff, and associates pursuing certification, and as part of assigned projects.
• Gathers and analyzes information to develop recommendations and implement process-related solutions to address strategic business objectives often spanning multiple global business and technology areas.
• Participates in industry forums and keeps current on domain knowledge for their specific business and application areas of expertise.
• Collaborate with and support leaders and their teams to ensure process improvements are adopted, measured, and monitored in support of business operating results.
• Monitors market changes and stakeholders’ needs and recommends adjustments to optimize costs, benefits, and speed of delivery.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
• 8+ years of total relevant work experience
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent experience executing projects -Working knowledge of Project Management and Change Management
• No FINRA licenses are required for this role.

PREFERRED (OR ESSENTIAL) QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience executing complex projects while applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to implement successful solutions to business problems with an elevated level of analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to apply Lean and Six Sigma principles in business scenarios, including statistical analysis.
• Outstanding interpersonal and partnering skills; ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships at all levels through collaboration, negotiation, and influence; effective application of coaching and feedback skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write and deliver concise, creative, and effective instructional materials and presentations.
• Strong organizational and project management skills including the ability to maximize resource utilization; distributing responsibilities and achieving milestones and deliverables within deadlines.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, and strategic thinking with the ability to flex and adapt to shifting needs and evolving priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership and management; ability to motivate, drive performance, and lead cross-functional teams through change.
• Outcome-driven with a focus on measurable results
• Agile certification or experience desired
