The position of Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the technical ownership, management, and support of Carnival Corporation's Microsoft platform-based Safety Management System application. This role requires providing technical guidance, design, development, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of all associated software and hardware components, services, and interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using industry-recognized patterns such as Bulkhead, Retry, CQRS, Queue-Based Load Leveling, and Saga.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, propose technical solutions, and iterate on features to meet safety and operational objectives.
Implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure proactive issue detection and rapid remediation.
Managing Azure resources consistently and at scale using Terraform/Bicep and CI/CD pipelines.
Incorporating Zero Trust principles and secure coding practices into cloud-native solutions.
