Vice President – Operations/General Manager – Operations
Responsibilities include: formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. Should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise. Should be a person who takes on a hands-on approach to management plans, guides, and directs the factory operations to achieve objectives in safety, quality, production output, delivery and customer satisfaction.

Broad responsibilities include:

Direct and control all aspects of the business operations, including Procurement / Supply chain management, scheduling (PPC), Manufacturing, Quality assurance, and health & safety, and compliance within assigned scope.
Prepare an annual manufacturing plan and policy guidelines to drive the performance of key result areas on production activities and continuous implementation monitoring
Optimally make sure that manufacturing units improve on the standard efficiencies in terms of Machine efficiencies, material yields, labor and overhead costs versus budget.
Implement a performance tracking system which includes the key performance indicators covering manufacturing, quality assurance, manpower levels and overheads.
Monitors the factory’s equipment/ machinery needs and ensures that the technical team is working to keep the company’s equipment and physical facility are properly maintained.
Provides information to various corporate personnel in a timely manner, including daily/ weekly/ monthly (MIS) reporting requirements and other adhoc information requests.
Manage and maintain labor and operating costs in accordance with budgets and strategic goals.
Frequently research cost savings opportunities, leading and monitoring all progress in capturing savings opportunities.

To measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and continuously finds ways to improve
Work closely with sales and product development teams to achieve organizational goals and to meet customer requirements
Optimize, plant layout to achieve goals and adapt to changing requirements of product mix and market requirements
Promotes cross training to optimize workforce, ensures functional coverage, reduce labor costs, and supports succession planning.
Special projects – lead new development initiatives in core function area or as a part of cross functional team to achieve organizational goals.
Candidate Requirements and Skills:

Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role in manufacturing industry
Experience in planning and budgeting
Extremely systematic and process driven
Knowledge of business processes (Operations, procurement, finance, HR etc.)
Strong analytical abilities and excel skills
Excellent communication skills
High degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings
Outstanding organizational and leadership skillsPossess good working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques including Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, and JIT Lean manufacturing
Possess good working knowledge of Business Intelligence or analytical tools like MS power BI or similar
B.E. Mechanical. Additional advantage: MBA – Operations

Salary: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹5,000,000.00 per year
