Position Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as a Godown Helper. The Godown Helper will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management and storage of goods within our warehouse facility. This role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Receive incoming shipments of goods and verify the accuracy of the delivery.
Inspect and record the condition of received items.
Properly label and store incoming inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
Regularly conduct inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to maintain optimal levels.
Organization and Maintenance:
Ensure that the warehouse is organized and clean at all times.
Implement and maintain an efficient storage system to maximize space utilization.
Conduct routine inspections of the warehouse to identify any maintenance or safety issues.
Address any maintenance issues promptly or escalate to the appropriate personnel.
Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing inventory transactions.
Use inventory management software or spreadsheets to accurately record inventory movements.
Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies.

Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
Properly handle and store hazardous materials, if applicable.
Participate in regular safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety among warehouse staff.

Collaboration:
Work closely with other warehouse staff, including supervisors and forklift operators, to coordinate activities and ensure efficient workflow.
Communicate effectively with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to facilitate the smooth flow of inventory.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in warehouse operations or inventory management preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office applications and inventory management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
