About this role:
As a representative of Arts Centre Melbourne, the Government Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for researching to identify and secure potential government investment opportunities that support our organisation's mission and programs.
You'll be adept at cultivating and managing strong relationships with government agencies and key external stakeholders, as well as working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to proposals, reports and government investment management.
The Development Team is responsible for cultivating strong relationships that lead to financial investment and support the organisation's wide-ranging cultural, education, access, commissioning, wellbeing, and collection programs.
The desire is to grow philanthropic, partnership and government contributions to further extend this reach and impact.

Your Skills and Experience:
To be successful, you will have:
Demonstrated track record in securing government investment in the arts and creative industries, or in an allied sector
Familiarity with the government landscape and funding opportunities in Australia
Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Arts Management, Public Administration, or related field
Industry knowledge – industry expertise with direct involvement in the delivery of arts projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of the artistic processes and challenges essential for effective grant acquisition
Representation and external stakeholder engagement – ability to represent Arts Centre Melbourne and build strong and trusted relationships with influential government and industry stakeholders
Strategic communication – confident and experienced interpersonal and written communicator, with the ability to shape key messages for organisational priorities and funding
Research and Analysis – Strong research and analytical skills.
High level of organisational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines
Collaboration – team player with demonstrated experience working across multi-disciplinary teams and cross organisational functions to achieve results
Terms and Conditions:
Employment at Arts Centre Melbourne is conditional upon the satisfactory completion of a National Police Check.
