About the role

As a member of the Bids team, the Graphic Designer & Bids Consultant works with both practice groups and Business Services to design and deliver consistent, high quality branded visual materials and templates across print and digital mediums as well as producing high quality bid and tender responses.

The role involves prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, operating within design specifications, brand guidelines, budget restrictions and set timelines. The Graphic Designer is also charged with developing and maintaining the library of visual assets including iconography, line illustration, photographic imagery, and templates including those in Word and PowerPoint.

Core design activities will include working with the Bids Team to design differentiated and visually striking capability statements, bids and proposals. Other design activities may include advertisements, event invitations, brochures, newsletters, reports, policies, photoshopping photography, office signage, email signature banners, contact cards, conference and sponsorship collateral, branded apparel and promotional items, brand and product logos, videography, PowerPoint presentations, and digital design for email marketing, social media and other digital platforms.

Whilst experience in preparing bids and proposals is not a pre-requisite, the goal is that with appropriate training the successful candidate will quickly develop to managing small bid and tender responses. The role will also include some administrative tasks such as maintaining the firms bids and proposals collateral.

Responsibilities

The position will include but will not be limited to:

Study design briefs and determine requirements
Conceptualise, design and present visual designs based on requirements
Perform retouching and manipulation of images
Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
Test and refine graphic designs across various media
Obtain and integrate feedback from key stakeholders
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand and incorporate relevant brand codes
Manage and develop visual asset library
Organise and file visual design files
Manage small bids and tender responses as well as capability statements
Manage bid and proposal content library
Other small administrative tasks related to the bid and proposal process
About You

Previous graphic design experience (preferably within a professional services organisation)
Understanding of key design and brand principles
Understanding of UX and accessibility requirements
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently, prioritise and meet deadlines
Stakeholder management experience
Proven experience with design applications, including:
Microsoft PowerPoint (presentations)
Microsoft Word (documents)
Desired but not essential experience in designing bids and proposals
Desirable but not required
Hand or digital Illustration
Adobe Creative Suite
Videography, photography and podcast including shooting/recording and editing
