Ellenika Restaurant, located at the beautiful Marina Pier in Adelaide, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. If you’re excited about creating fresh, flavourful Mediterranean dishes with a modern twist, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook high-quality Mediterranean dishes, with a focus on traditional Greek flavours and fresh, local ingredients.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, especially during peak times, maintaining a calm and organised environment.
Contribute to the development of the menu by suggesting new dishes or seasonal specials.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, following all food hygiene and health regulations.
Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ensuring the proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
Support the executive chef and other kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Chef, ideally with experience in Mediterranean or Greek cuisine.
Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food preparation techniques, and health & safety standards.
A passion for creating exceptional dining experiences with a commitment to quality and consistency.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as the restaurant is busy during these times.

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
