Job description
My client is a highly successful global manufacturing business and an established leader at the forefront of the FTTX industry. Their experience is unrivalled, proven by continuous innovation and growth of well-renowned solutions that continue to be deployed to networks globally.
The business is HQ'd in the Scottish Borders and distributes to 100+ countries worldwide, serving crucial industries such as Telecoms, Power, and Oil and Gas. They have additional sites in Europe, Australia, UAE, and USA.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group Continuous Improvement Manager to join the Leadership Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for setting improvement strategies across the business and their manufacturing facilities.
• Continue to engrain Lean culture across the company, developing a network of CI champions
• Restructure manufacturing operations in line with CI strategy
• Improve business processes through the application of appropriate tools and techniques e.g. Lean Six Sigma
• Program and Project management of key Global Operational Performance Improvement across all sites
• Lead and drive the delivery of measurable and sustainable improvements in the performance of the business. Help to develop the capability and appetite for continuous improvement within others in the business
• Process improvement through improving KPIs and tracking KPIs to improve product quality
This role is tailored for a manager from a manufacturing/production background who has knowledge of, and experience of implementing CI methodologies. There is huge potential to drive valuable improvement within the role and grow your career within the business.
You should be passionate and practical with a strong focus on improvement across business functions, and have the ability to develop strategy and convert this into deliverable and measurable action through the matching of people, process, and performance management to implement solutions.
The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week expected at manufacturing sites in the Scottish Borders.
