Job description
Greenwell Gleeson are pleased to be working with a successful construction business based in the Staffordshire area. This is a Group role that will have responsibility for Treasury Management matters. The post holder should have relevant experience in a similar role working in the construction and or house building sectors. Key role responsibilities Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage one direct report to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the Company's objectives Provide additional adhoc support to the Group Financial Controller and Ledger Supervisor to cover periods of holiday or absence. Driving new ways of working, continually improve the ledger function's processes and procedures Acting as key contact during the year end audit, completing evidence requests and undertaking relevant process walkthroughs. Responsible for verifying accuracy of VAT treatment, including subcontractor certificates, prior to being posted. Provide clear instructions and ensure timely completions of postings by Ledger team. Preparation of CIS reconciliation, returns & payments Ongoing monitoring of Group Cash position to ensure compliance with Group Treasury policies. Liaise and collaborate with relevant Commercial colleagues and Finance Business Partners to ensure Group and individual subsidiary headroom's are maintained. Coordination and production of balance sheet rec for Cashbook, VAT, CIS accounts Responsible for managing the cashbook Undertake bank reconciliations, actively exploring ways to streamline this process. What is expected: Experience in House Building or Construction is highly desired. High level of understanding of VAT treatment in Construction Able to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy Contribute as a manager, role model the company values and behaviours Drive and enthusiasm to contribute to a high performing team with the right procedures and processes in place Professional and knowledgeable with the ability to build trust and credibility with people Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels both internal and external to the business.
