Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
▪ Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e
Microsoft Office Suite Products, Skyline, etc.). In depth understanding of lease administration functions and services

Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to properly account for company and client fiscal resources and to ensure client service needs are met
This role will report directly to the Vice President of Property Management
▪ Reviews, prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
▪ Prepares all necessary general ledger entries and account reconciliations
▪ Maintains the chart of accounts for all properties
▪ Records and deposits security deposits
▪ Enters tenant chargeback information on tenant accounts
▪ Assists property management team members with report and account questions
▪ Monitors banks balances
▪ Assists in setting up new properties in Skyline
▪ Enters rent and CAM charges as directed
▪ Assists with annual audits
▪ Prepares fixed asset calculations as needed
▪ Researches and investigates transactional level details as required
▪ Interfaces with internal and external customers
▪ Provides assistance on special projects as needed
▪ Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction
▪ Work with the VP of Property Management on financial internal controls and coordination
▪ Provides thought leadership and innovation in operational and financial performance by leveraging business intelligence, along with company and CRE industry resources
▪ Ensures compliance with client’s standardized processes, policies, and procedures by all parties executing services on client’s behalf
▪ Manages accounting email, responds or forwards to appropriate accountant/financial analyst (lead accountant)
▪ Provides process and procedure training
▪ Other duties that may be assigned

Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports
Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
▪ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a focus on business, accounting, or finance. Minimum of four years of related experience in property management or real estate accounting preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with landlords, tenants, company management, peers and clients. Strong organizational, quantitative and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. Broad and in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) concepts. Familiar with property accounting statements/concepts (IS, BS, CF, Accrual/Cash). SEC reporting experience desired (depending on the specific finance role).
