A wonderful opportunity has arisen for the position of Head Chef at the Talkhouse, Stanton St John. Well known in local circles as being a high class restaurant and “Gastro Pub” the Talkhouse is a picturesque country pub barely five miles from the centre of Oxford. Those interested should either already be a Head Chef, or aspire to this level in their existing role. The Talkhouse boasts a spacious modern fully equipment kitchen with “walk-in Fridge / Freezer as well as extensive preparation and wash-up facilities. The Head Chef will set and deliver high quality seasonal menus and associated hot and cold buffet catering while working and reporting to the Operations Director. The need to manage suppliers, set staff rotas and inspire your team is fundamental in this role as is the need for Artistic flair in order to delight our customers at the Talkhouse. Working closely with front of house is as important as motivating your small kitchen team consisting of Sous, and Commis Chef’s plus numerous KP’s is as essential as is the requirement to hit and maintain Kitchen budgets. The remuneration package is dependent upon previous experience and includes Service Charge at 12.5% plus a bonus scheme for achieving monthly revenue targets as well great customer reviews. We are also looking for a Sous Chef who can interact within a small team and deliver to a high standard, reporting to the Head of Kitchen this role is both rewarding and demanding, and includes a remuneration package in line with the above. Pay: £36,270.00-£46,875.76 per year
