Collection Head is a senior level position overseeing PAN India collection of outstanding on credit cards, maintaining a healthy balance on the dues and collection. It will also require strengthening the collection division by building focused capability on each of the portfolio segments and thereby reducing delinquencies and losses and improving recovery, process adherence and controls.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring delivery of the assigned collection targets of below +0 days and above +0 days and reduce the delinquency on credit card collections

• Creating segments in the outstanding base portfolio based on the risk attached to the clients for efficient handling

• Devising a strong collection strategy and executing it to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis depending on customer profiling

• Monitoring portfolio to decrease the delinquency patterns based on the portfolio triggers and sharing the inputs with the portfolio and sales team. Closely working with the portfolio head and sales head to analyze the customer portfolio and design a strategy to reduce the outstanding portfolio

• Reviewing and ensuring correct classification of recovery portfolio of credit card

• Aligning with finance team for the necessary treatment of the recovery portfolio/delinquency in the balance sheet and profit and loss statement

• Proactively providing fruitful inputs to help the recovery team to improve the performance of collection

• Ensuring the onboarding of the appropriate collection agencies and scrutinizing the performance of these agencies on periodical basis

• Ensure that the outstanding and recovery rate is balanced in soft and hard recovery. Zero spillover is taking from soft to hard

• Ensure that the outstanding is within the threshold as decided for the product by the management

• Managing a team of collection tele-callers and recovery team including inhouse and outsourced for collection the dues

• Ensure timely calling is done to the defaulted credit card holders and aggressively pushing for timely payments.

• Conducting timely reviews to monitor aging wise outstanding Vs recovery status

• Travelling to locations having high aging and meeting the clients with the local teams

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in managing a team in collection & recovery preferably from credit / lending background

• The candidate will be directly reporting to the Collection Head of the Bank

• Must have a strong experience in handling soft and hard buckets in recovery

• Must possess skills relating to team management, balancing the attrition rate for the team

• Must have the knowledge of the collection process and capability to handle the recovery in legal manner
