Head of Business Development / Placement Head
Job Purpose
The Placement Head at KodNest is responsible for leading and managing the placement team, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance student employability, and fostering strong relationships with industry partners. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between education and employment, ensuring KodNest students are well-prepared for successful careers in the tech industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Vision Development
Develop and lead the strategic vision for career services and placement initiatives at KodNest
Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategic plans that align with KodNest's mission and goals.
Continuously evaluate and improve placement strategies based on industry trends and student outcomes.
Team Leadership and Management
Lead and manage the placement team, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Employer Engagement and Industry Partnerships
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential employers and industry partners
Develop and expand a network of tech companies to create job opportunities for KodNest graduates.
Organize and participate in networking events, job fairs, and industry conferences to promote KodNest and its students.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Analyze placement data to assess the effectiveness of programs and strategies.
Prepare and present regular reports on placement metrics, student outcomes, and industry trends to stakeholders.
Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and program improvements.
Identify and secure additional funding opportunities to support placement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in career services, recruitment, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Demonstrated knowledge of the tech industry, including current trends, job market demands, and skills requirements
Strong understanding of career development theories and practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in data analysis and strategic planning.
Proficiency in using career services technologies and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree or certification in Career Counseling, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Experience working in a tech education or coding bootcamp environment.
Knowledge of educational technology and its applications in career services.
Familiarity with industry-specific frameworks such as career clusters and pathways
