About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to join our team and make a difference in the lives of New Zealanders. As the Head of Advocacy & Public Affairs, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to achieve strategic goals, building trusted relationships with government and broader stakeholders, and amplifying the voices of lived experience of cancer to shape policies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive advocacy strategy to reduce cancer risk, detect cancer earlier, and improve outcomes for families.
Build and maintain strong relationships with government and broader stakeholders to drive change.
Amplify the voices of lived experience of cancer to shape policies and inspire awareness and action.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Proven experience in advocacy or public policy with a track record of influencing change.
Strong connections within government and the health sector.
Expertise in cancer prevention, healthcare policy, and health equity.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
