Wholesale Digital IT provides technology solutions to HSBC’s Commercial Banking (CMB). As the world’s leading international commercial, trade and payments bank, we support millions of businesses in more than 50 markets.

Principal responsibilities
• We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of transformation & Regulatory Delivery.
• The purpose of this role is to manage delivery of critical regulatory programs, drive transformation agenda across digital and manage the Digital Service operations team in India.
• Role reports functionally and entity wise with Head of Digital IT India.

ØSome of the key activities that this role will carry out are listed below :
• Delivery management of key programs across Digital IT
• Drive overall transformation agenda across Digital IT India
• Manages entity wide Production support and Infra teams
• Build Engineering capability and drive mode 2 adoption
• Streamline and support transformation around Infra stability
• Promote and drive Innovation across teams
• Build and promote open and transparent culture and can manage conflicts within team
• Support regional lead in driving Wholesale and HTI wide initiatives
• Provide strong leadership to recruitment to ensure the best people are recruited and integrated into the teams

Requirements
• 20+ years of experience working in financial services within Tier 1 global banking organisations
• Exposure to India business teams
• Proven experience of managing high profile large regulatory programs
• Demonstrable experience in driving transformation
• Experience of setting up new teams and driving change
• Experience in successfully shaping & executing strategy
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes
• Streamline and support transformation around Infra stability
• Broad understanding of wholesale business
• Promotes environment of inclusion, diversity, collaboration, and trust within the Group
• Communicate Effectively : Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
• People Advocacy : Builds and sustains commitment to long term goals across multiple teams -drives people advocacy, trust, confidence and integrity to inspire enthusiasm for achieving these
• Leadership : Positively influence others to achieve results that support the outcomes of the programme and of the wider bank in general
• Make Decisions : Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organisation.
• Collaboration & Teamwork : Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance outcome on the programme.
• Assess risks and issues, work with teams to generate and execute effective mitigation and contingency countermeasures. Manage problem situations effectively (including stakeholder engagement, and exceptional communication)
• Behave Ethically : Understand ethical behaviour and business practices, and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the bank

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.

Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
