We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales professional for the position of Sales Head for our ADDO Brand of Solar Products (Inverters, Batteries and Power backup systems). The incumbent must have a strong sales background and experience of over 10 years with a proven track record of generating continuous business growth and leading a team, motivating them to meet and exceed sales targets month-on-month. His key responsibilities will be to create and devise effective sales strategies for the brand and execute them successfully. The role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities along with good knowledge and understanding of the solar and renewable industry and driving continuous growth in revenue generation as per the overall objectives of the Brand.
This position is going to be based out of our corporate headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana – in Delhi | NCR.
The incumbent applying for the position should be open for travelling and relocation to Delhi | NCR.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies driving the growth of the ADDO Brand in the solar products market, focusing on solar inverters, batteries, energy storage solutions, and associated products.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to formulate effective sales plans and position ADDO Brand as a market leader.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies and develop targeted campaigns to increase brand awareness and product adoption.
- Identify and exploit new market opportunities, particularly in emerging segments (commercial, residential, and industrial solar solutions), to drive business growth.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Motivate and lead the Sales Team, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and KPIs for the ADDO Brand solar products.
- Build a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and mentoring sales personnel across various regions.
- Set clear sales targets and Key performance metrics (KPIs), track progress, and take corrective actions when necessary to achieve and exceed targets.
- Cultivate a positive, results-driven culture within the sales team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, EPC contractors, system integrators, channel partners, and large-scale clients (both commercial and residential).
- Work with the channel partner network to expand distribution, increase product availability, and grow the ADDO Brand’s presence in the solar market landscape.
- Drive and develop new strategic partnerships to support brand growth, market expansion, and product sales.
- Lead negotiations with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring favourable terms and long-term partnerships.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Develop sales forecasts and budgets and manage the sales pipeline to ensure sales objectives are met and exceeded.
- Monitor and report on key sales metrics, including sales performance, market share, and customer acquisition, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Continuously track competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and tactics.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and reflects the value of ADDO Brand products.
Brand Positioning & Market Intelligence:
- Ensure that ADDO Brand solar products are positioned effectively in the market, communicating their unique value propositions to customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to ensure ADDO Brand stays ahead of industry developments.
- Work closely with product development and R&D teams to communicate customer needs, feature requests, and opportunities for product enhancement based on market demand.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, customer support, supply chain, and finance) to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and effective delivery of products to customers.
- Coordinate with the technical and service teams to ensure smooth product installation, customer support, and after-sales service, leading to high customer satisfaction.
- Support the marketing team in planning product launches, promotional campaigns, and digital marketing efforts to generate demand for ADDO Brand solar products.
Profitability & Budget Management:
- Lead the development of the annual sales budget, ensuring it aligns with business goals and growth targets.
- Monitor and manage sales expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources to maximize profitability.
- Regularly assess the performance of sales activities, adjusting strategies and tactics to improve margins and drive higher revenue.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales with a Proven track record of generating continuous growth and at least 5+ years in a senior sales management role in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Experience in managing a sales team and driving growth for a well-acclaimed brand or product, preferably within the solar, battery, or inverter space.
- Deep understanding of solar products (inverters, batteries, energy storage systems) and the renewable energy sector.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage for the right candidate.
