We are looking for someone who will be mainly responsible for Shared services setup which will be centralized from Kanpur & will handle all activities pertaining to accounts payable, insurance and fixed asset accounting.
He will manage a team of 10-15 members for all verticals of organization.

Skills:

Those who are currently or in their previous stints have worked in shared services and understand the process transition.

Someone who are well versed both from a compliance and technology perspective as to how a shared services set up is run.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for setting up the Financial Shared Services team & processes, leading the team in ensuring compliance to statutory / regulatory requirements and guidelines / standards in all activities pertaining to accounts payable, insurance and fixed asset accounting.
Support business and functions by consolidating accounting activities and improving productivity & efficiencies through process standardisation.

Shared Services Initial Setup:
• Undertake opportunity assessment to determine the scope of the Financial Shared Services, organize and build the project team, build an understanding of the current processes and costs to develop the business case for change.
• Manage the implementation of Financial Shared Services through phased process transitions (HO & then plants) in alignment with a defined change management plan and continuously ensure a focus on a costconscious, customerfocused mind set
• Drive continuous optimisation of Financial Shared Services through development & execution of continuous improvement plans, evaluation & adjustment of roles and responsibilities as required and ongoing upgradation of systems to support redesigned processes

Shared Services Management:
• Contribute to development of accounting systems & procedures and align accounting process with the same.
• Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with various departments.
• Monitor various accounting process regularly and ensure continuous organizational support for increasing process efficiency.
• Review the accounts on a regular basis to ensure that accounts are maintained appropriately and in compliance with the internal company guidelines and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct monthly reporting of accounting observations & process effectiveness to senior management across Finance & Divisions
• Ensure verification of tax audit disclosures with the books of accounts
• Review & verify Return of Income prepared in prescribed formats and ensure timely submission of the same to Taxation function.

Accounts Payables Management:
• Define guidelines & processes for accounts payables to be applied across all offices & manufacturing locations to ensure appropriate verification of invoices received from vendors for statutory compliance and conduct timely bill passing activities.
• Manage the centralised processing of all payable invoices across the organisation (offices & plants) as per defined processes.
• Monitor timely & accurate centralised verification & payment for all invoices, including compliances and deduction of taxes as applicable.

Insurance & Fixed Assets Accounting Management:
• Oversee timely completion of all accounting activities and accounts payable related to fixed asset accounting.
• Define, update & monitor centralised fixed asset accounting process.

Team Management:
• Assign and manage team workload and resources to maintain efficient operations.
• Set performance expectations for team members and monitor performance of the function to identify and implement further improvements.
