*Position Information**:Chatswood High School (1703 students, including approximately 7+% from a non-English speaking background) is a partially selective co-educational school located on Sydney's north shore with a strong commitment to academic excellence.The school has two Selective classes from Years 7-10, a Gifted and Talented class Years 7-10, mainstream enrolments who are our local students, as well as four classes in our Support Unit for students diagnosed with autism and intellectual disabilities. Offering a diverse curriculum, there is a strong emphasis on quality teaching and maximising student success.Chatswood High School is currently undergoing a redevelopment project with major refurbishment and new buildings.**Selection Criteria**:Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria applicants must have:- Demonstrated experience in understanding and implementing the use of online administration systems, such as Sentral and Edval (including Edval Daily), to support the academic and wellbeing needs of a large and diverse student population- Demonstrated capacity to gather and analyse data to inform, develop and deliver initiatives to support the improvement of student learning & engagement in a complex school setting- Exceptional organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to utilise consultative and inclusive practices to develop effective partnerships with students, staff, parents and the wider community- Proven ability to provide visible and proactive leadership in implementing initiatives that contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s strategic plan and enhance the overall capacity of teachers with diverse expertise and experience in research driven pedagogy**General Selection Criteria**:1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning6.
