If you are passionate about the restaurant industry and have previous kitchen experience , then we want to hear from you. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and qualified Head Chef to kickstart the project . You will lead a team of food specialists and ensure that our food maintains the highest quality. We hope you are ready to bring in some new and delicious recipes to our kitchen and delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design menus that enhance customers culinary experience while keeping up high quality.
• Purchase food and supplies from vendors approved by management and monitor inventory.
• Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
• Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer
• Submit cost proposals for menu items.
• Provide feedback regarding the food quality of large bulk purchases.
• Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Design standardized food presentation guidelines for each dish.
• Monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.
• Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
• Hire, train, and mange staff about proper kitchen sanitization methods.
Job Description
• Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
• Approve and polish dishes before they reach the customer
• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
• Arrange for repairs when necessary
• Remedy any problems or defects.
• Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
• Oversee the work of subordinates
• Estimate staffs workload and compensations
• Maintain records of payroll and attendance
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as Head Chef.
• License from Food Drug Administration (FDA) or another certifying agency.
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong passion for the art of food design
• Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
• Credentials in health and safety training
• Degree in Culinary science or related certificate
• 8 years + experience
• Excellent food presentation skills
• Salary : 8 to 12 lacs Per annum.
• Location : Preferrably from Delhi/NCR
