Health Care Aide - Nights

Better Way Home Care is looking for Certified Health Care Aides to join their team in the Red Deer area!

Successful candidates for our health care aide positions utilize a compassionate and empathetic approach helping to create a supportive environment for patients, fostering a sense of comfort and security. Our health care aides play an indispensable role in enhancing the overall quality of life for individuals facing health challenges. Applicants must be passionate about providing premium care for their clients. Ideal applicants must be willing to work hourly on a casual basis. Some overnight shifts may be required. Applicants must have a valid Alberta Driver’s License and own a reliable vehicle.

Job Description:

Available to work 12-hour shifts.

· Personal care such as transferring, positioning, and mobility assistance

· Assist & remind clients to take their medications

· Assist with Simple Wound Care

· Health education

· Meal planning and specialized diets

· Assistance with therapeutic exercises

· Collaboration with healthcare professionals

· Companionship and emotional support

Requirements:

Above average verbal and written communication skills
Clean police check with vulnerable sector
Excellent health
BLS
Credentials including HCA certification and registration on the HCA Directory
Alberta Driver’s License & reliable vehicle w/ commercial insurance
