Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.
We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealand’s national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
About the role:
At Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau, an amazing opportunity is waiting for you in one of our paediatric wards, Kidz First Medical. Kidz First Medical provides secondary and primary hospital care for children under 15, from our culturally diverse community.
Health Care Assistants are our RNs right hand people. Assisting them with day-to-day tasks of caring for our patients, this is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our vision of delivering quality patient care.
The successful applicant will get the opportunity to work with different patients and families supporting the nurses. As aHealth Care Assistant you will be required to provide clinical care to our patients. Our new team member must also be highly organised, able to prioritise, have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with our patients.

Essential:
2+ years Health Care Assistant experience in New Zealand
Level 4 NZ Health Care Assistant certificate with 1+ years HCA experience in New Zealand
or NZ Level 3 Health Care Assistant certificate with 2+ years HCA experience or equivalent (to be assessed) in New Zealand
Good communication skills
