About the Role
We are currently seeking a team of dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants for one of our premium clients. This role involves providing specialized care for a young client who is mute, uses a wheelchair, has Down syndrome, and is blind. Our goal is to assemble experienced and energetic carers who can significantly impact his life and well-being.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized care to an adult with Down syndrome, along with a dislocated hip and partial visual impairment.
• Manage caregiver schedules, provide training, and oversee their performance to ensure consistent care provision.
• Collaborate with healthcare experts and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Develop personalized meal plans tailored to specific dietary requirements and offer assistance during mealtimes.
• Administer prescribed medications and medical procedures while maintaining meticulous records.
• Organize medical appointments, therapies, and other healthcare services, advocating for the individual's preferences and needs.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor health status, mobility, and overall well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Establish emergency protocols and risk management techniques to uphold safety and welfare.
• Stay abreast of the latest caregiving methodologies, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must be based in the UK and hold a valid work visa to be eligible.
• Demonstrated proficiency in caregiving for a minimum of three years, with specialized experience in caring for individuals with Down syndrome.
• Preferably holds certifications in UK Care Standards and other relevant caregiving qualifications.
• Proven track record in coordinating and supervising caregivers to ensure the delivery of effective care.
• Expertise in devising and executing customized care plans, encompassing dietary necessities, medication administration, and medical coordination.
• Possesses empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges encountered by individuals with disabilities.
• Exceptional communication abilities for effective interaction with individuals, healthcare providers, and family members.
