Health Care Assistant
Full Time Permanent Role (1 FTE)

At Health New Zealand Counties Manukau, we invest in our workforce to deliver quality, team-based, and compassionate healthcare to promote healthy and safe communities, individuals, families, and whaanau.
Our progressive Acute Renal Ward (Ward 1) based at Middlemore Hospital caters to patients with renal impairment and renal failure. Although many of our renal patients also have medical conditions consequently the ward also has a secondary medical focus taking overflow medicine patients as necessary. We are looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our team!
We are a high performing multi disciplinary team dedicated to supporting this service and providing the highest standard of care to our patients.
Salaries are based on the NZNO Collective Agreement Health Care Assistant salary scale between Step 1 ($60,100) and Step 5 ($70,358).
Essential:
2+ years Health Care Assistant experience in New Zealand
Level 4 NZ Health Care Assistant certificate with 1+ years HCA experience in New Zealand
or NZ Level 3 Health Care Assistant certificate with 2+ years HCA experience or equivalent (to be assessed) in New Zealand
Good communication skills
