The role

As a Health, Safety, Environment Assistant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will play a critical part in ensuring that our projects meet their Health, Safety, and Environmental commitments. Your expertise will help guide and oversee the health, safety, and environmental activities, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.

Day-to-day, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks designed to support the effective management of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) standards on our projects.
• Managing HS&E data using the Synergi system, providing basic coaching, and utilizing its reporting tools to produce accurate reports.
• Producing monthly reports to support internal accountability and client performance, gathering data from various project areas.
• Tracking progress on HS&E actions, including objectives from the SHEQ Improvement Plan.
• Coordinating HSSE meetings, taking relevant actions, and documenting minutes.
• Creating and delivering learning briefs, toolbox talks, and other HS&E content for project briefings.

This is a full-time agile role and can be based at various sites, including Bristol, Warrington or Newbury.

Essential Experience Of The Health, Safety, Environment Assistant
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience working in a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team or setting would be advantageous.
