Job Description

This document has been put together to give you more information on the sponsorship package we have on offer. We as an organisation are operating within the health and social care sector, providing domiciliary and live-in care, as well as supported living services nationwide, your location will be provided when your visa is being processed. Your work location may change if required where you may be required to relocate.

Job Role

As a Senior carer your role will be as per the below job description:

Senior Care Worker Coordination Team Care Managers

Hours of work: 3+ Hours

To promote personal care and practical support to service users to enable them to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible, within a designated area on a day to day basis within the domiciliary and supported living service.

 To provide leadership to the care staffwithin the organization

 To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy

and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant

regulations under the direction of the Manager

 To supervise the care services within in accordance with agreed standards,

through spot checks and other supervision methods

 To maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and

development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices

as up to date

 To carry out reviews of client needs

 To participate in the on-call service which is a 24hrs and 7 days service

on a rota basis

 Ensure Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their

wishes and preference enhance their wellbeing

 Toensurethatallstaffcontributetotheefficientrunningofthe

service and supervise staff

 Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those

individuals they support

 Develop effective working relationships with other employees within

 Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to

maximise opportunities for Service Users

 Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management

 Routinely oversees and monitors care workers and home carers

 Take responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty

 Respond to emergencies and provides guidance and support to care workers

 Assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and

bathe

 Serve meals to service users at table or in bed, assists with feeding if required

 Generally, assists with service users overall comfort and wellbeing

 Provide interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user

 Help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits

 Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as

required

 Monitor service users conditions by taking temperature, pulse,

respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping;

 Liaises with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.

Essential Skills.

During the time of your employment with us, we would require you to be living in a location central to the branches we have which are located in Romford, Suffolk, Thurrock and any location as required by the business.
•  Proficient written English skills
•  Good communication skills
•  Good leadership skills
•  Good problem-solving skills
•  English level 2 written and verbal
•  Level 3 diploma in care or equivalent
•  Moving and handling
•  At least 1 year experience working within the care sector in similar supervisory role

Health Assessment

All applicants should agree to undergo a pre-employment health assessment by providing a full medical report including a HCG test for male or female applicants.

The evidence provided through the medical check will ascertain the applicant has the capacity to perform their duties to the best of their ability and without compromising theirs and our services users’ safety and well-being.

On Call

Please note that each Senior Carer will be on call on a rota basis covering both days and nights to work in various locations covered by the company knowing we have branches in Romford, Thurrock and Suffolk and consequently there would be other locations as required by the business. You will be on call on your days off.
• As a term of your employment, you can be required to undertake such other duties commensurate with your grade and/or hours of work at your initial place of work or at any other establishments, as may be reasonably required of you. The above job description is not an exhaustive list.
• Your Visa Application:
• As an organisation sponsoring you to come and work in the UK, we will assign you with a certificate of sponsorship and any other paperwork required related to your work to support your visa application.
• We will provide guidance on completing the visa application, which you will need to complete online initially and we will go through the whole application and check before you submit, to make sure that there are no discrepancies and everything has been completed correctly.
• It is important that you understand that the ultimate decision on whether your visa application is granted or not is not within our control and is the sole decision of UK Visas & Immigrations (UKVI).
• Visa Type
• If your visa application is successful, you will be granted a 3 years’ work permit to work in the role which we have contracted you for. It is important that you understand your obligation under this work permit. You will only be allowed to work within this role and with us under the certificate of sponsorship that we will offer you, therefore it is important that you understand the role and the requirements, as this will be a 5 years’ commitment from your side and our side as an organisation.

•  Possibility to do paid overtime work (paid on contact time)
•  3 years visa if granted, after 3 years you may be given the chance to
• renew your work permit for a further 2 years.
•  After 5 years you should be able to apply for settlement as per the UKVI rules
• at that time.
•  Under the health care visa, you will be exempt from paying the immigration
• health surcharge in the cost breakdown which is a great saving.
•  You will be guaranteed a fulltime job with guaranteed minimum income as
• per the job description for 3 years.
• Condition of this package
• This package will be offered to you on the condition that:
•  You can meet all the requirements both administrative, financial and technical as explained above.
•  You are willing and agree to enter a 3-year contract for the role on the job description with the Services
• You need to be reliable and flexible
• Note: Please note that if during your employment with the Services you breach any of the above conditions or do not comply with the job requirements, we have the right to terminate your employment and withdraw the certificate of sponsorship assigned to you which will lead to termination of your work permit.
