Heavy Duty Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations, working with equipment such as log loaders, mechanical processors, Madill grapple Yarders and road building equipment.

Duties

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on industrial equipment.
Work with electrical systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly.
Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in a shop or field environment.
Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in areas such as automotive repair, electrical systems, and HVAC.
Familiarity with operating forklifts and cranes is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or standing for extended periods.
A valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47.70-$60.00 per hour
