Your New Position

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all traffic and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle to transport goods to and from different locations.
• Follow all traffic and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
• Plan delivery schedules and routes with transport managers.
• Supervise or assist with the loading and unloading of goods.
• Ensure loads are safely secured.
• Adapt routes based on traffic reports and road conditions.
• Complete delivery paperwork and keep up-to-date logbooks.
• Perform basic routine maintenance, such as oil, tyre, and brake checks.

• Keep our vehicles clean and tidy
• Operate vehicles courteously and within the law

Requirements for Success
• Holds a valid C+E licence, along with DCPC and Tacho cards.
• Knowledgeable about and compliant with Driver’s hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
• Capable of performing thorough vehicle checks to ensure safety and accurately reporting any defects.
• Adhere to on-site health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
