Megamind Learning Centre- Vaughan is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential by providing personalized and engaging tutoring in various subjects. We specialize in fostering academic excellence and confidence in students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 through innovative teaching techniques and a supportive environment.

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of curriculum requirements. You will be responsible for supporting High school students in subject Math and Science tailoring your approach to meet individual learning needs.

Responsibilities:

· Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions for students in math and science based on their grade level and needs.

· Deliver personalized lesson plans aligned with the Ontario Curriculum.

· Assist students with homework and test preparation.

· Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to parents.

· Create a positive, encouraging learning environment to build students’ confidence and motivation.

· Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.

· Stay informed on curriculum changes and best practices in education.

Qualifications:

· Strong knowledge of subject matter in Math and Science.

· Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Patient, approachable, and passionate about helping students succeed.

· Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum and assessment standards.

Education:

· A degree or enrollment in a program in Education, Math, English, Science, French, or a related field is preferred.

· Equivalent experience in tutoring or teaching may be considered.
