Job Overview:

Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and repair dental and medical equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Facility Upkeep: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and general repairs within the hospital and college facilities.
• Preventive Maintenance: Implement and adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and standards, including OSHA guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and ensure issues are resolved quickly to minimize disruption.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and staff to address maintenance needs and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for students, staff, and patients.

Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks that require physical strength and stamina.
