What can you expect?
This position requires working 3 daytime shifts and 2 overnight shifts per week. The Hotel Bell Desk Agent / Overnight Driver provides an outstanding guest experience by creating a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. They work day and overnight to provide safe and efficient handling and transport of guests and their luggage, utilizing company vehicles to transport them up-and-down the mountain to our beautiful resort. The Hotel Bell Desk Agent / Overnight Driver is also responsible for ensuring the same service standard is delivered consistently at all times of day and night and to clean and valet the company vehicles.
This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:
Provide a safe driving experience.
Cleaning / valeting of vehicles.
Provide excellent guest service during all tasks and provide accurate information to all guests.
Coordinate with the Front Desk to ensure smooth transfer of guests and delivery of luggage/other items to and from hotel rooms.
Store and retrieve guest luggage.
Efficiently answer guest inquiries regarding the area and hotel services and facilities.
And you have:
Passion for providing excellent guest service.
Must be over the age of 21, with a valid drivers license.
Must provide a clean traffic history record.
Must be comfortable and competent driving with additional passengers.
Experience in either accounting or a hotel setting preferred.
Previous payment handling experience.
Positive attitude, excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Computer knowledge – Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to problem solve independently and efficiently.
Ability to complete manual labor, heavy lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; reliable, a team player and able to use own initiative.
Able to complete training and testing for on-hill tracked vehicle license.
Provide clean driver’s abstract and license prior to commencement of duties (Abstract cannot be any older than 30 days from start of employment); Must be able to complete training and testing for on-hill tracked vehicle and snowmobile licenses.
Additional Considerations:
Employees must always be of a sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
Some required uniform pieces are provided. Candidates must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions of an indoor/outdoor role.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
