Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our facilities management and maintenance operations. In this vital role, you will oversee all engineering functions, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and optimal performance of the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Your leadership will drive proactive maintenance strategies, manage technical teams, and uphold the highest standards of building safety and functionality. Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise the engineering team in daily maintenance activities, ensuring all systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems—including high voltage and low voltage equipment—and mechanical systems.
• Manage facilities management tasks such as plumbing, electrical wiring schematics, industrial maintenance, and building automation controls.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and industrial standards.
• Coordinate with project management teams on renovations or upgrades involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and system integration.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety checks; utilize CMMS for documentation and reporting.
• Lead emergency response efforts related to mechanical or electrical failures, ensuring swift resolution to minimize guest disruption.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, continuous improvement, and leadership within the engineering department.
Experience
• Proven management experience leading facilities or engineering teams within a hospitality or manufacturing environment.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring (including high voltage and low voltage), mechanical systems, schematics interpretation, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance management; ability to develop schedules and track work orders effectively.
• Strong project management skills demonstrated through successful completion of renovation or upgrade projects involving facilities infrastructure.
• Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on leadership development and team motivation.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
