Housekeeper 6|month fixed term

Summer is just around the corner, and Gisborne Holdings Ltd is on the lookout for enthusiastic housekeepers to join the team at Waikanae Beach Top 10 Holiday Park. We offer a unique holiday experience for visitors to Tairāwhiti, and our team takes pride in delivering a world-class experience for our guests.

About the Role:
As a housekeeper, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our holiday park. Your duties will include cleaning guest rooms, communal areas, and ensuring our facilities are stocked and well-presented. You'll help make every guest feel at home! This is a 6-month fixed term contract (15-20 hours per week) to cover the busy season.

Responsibilities include:

Dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising
Linen changeover
Replenishing consumables and rearranging furniture
Reporting necessary repairs and maintenance
Ensuring all accommodations and public areas are presented to the highest standard
We value a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude over experience, as full training is provided. However, previous experience in a similar role is always a bonus!

Ideally, you will be:

Proactive with excellent communication skills
Able to work independently and take initiative
Meticulous with attention to detail
Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of the role
A positive team member who is solution-focused
Able to pass police vetting and a credit check
Have a clean NZ drivers licence – full is preferable
