Responsibilities
This person will be overseeing the housekeeping team, cleaning and inspecting rooms, making the public spaces are tidy, and reporting any maintenance issues
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate and develop their team while maintaining budget and quality standards
Schedule staff efficiently to meet the demands of the resort occupancy and ensure adequate coverage
Supervise, train, and motivate a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry attendants
Inspect rooms once cleaned by Housekeeping to ensure they meet cleanliness standards’
Monitor and control the use of cleaning supplies and equipment
Assist the Housekeeping department with changing bed linens, restocking room supplies, vacuuming, and dusting
Report cases of property damage to supervisor
Oversee a team of Housekeepers and Housepersons
Clean rooms occasionally or when necessary
Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
Guests can enjoy easy access to scenic walks along the Marginal Way, shopping, dining, and a variety of outdoor activities

Requirements

• At least two years Hotel Housekeeping experience preferred

• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities
• Previous customer facing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus

Compensation
