Job Overview: We are a startup, seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head for Government and Corporate Business responsible for driving the sales and business development strategy for the Company’s AI-powered animal management solutions targeting municipal corporations and local bodies. This role involves building the sales team, securing government / corporate contracts, managing key relationships with local bodies, corporate and public sector undertakings and liasioning with government. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of government procurement processes, animal management issues, and AI technologies, while having a strong sales background focused on securing long-term government contracts. This role is crucial in developing and securing partnerships with government entities to implement and scale effective animal management programs. The Sales Head will identify business opportunities, manage relationships with key government stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for securing government contracts related to animal management, including enumeration, vaccination, animal welfare and public health initiatives.2. Align sales goals with the Company’s broader business objectives and public sector growth targets.3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, local bodies and public sector stakeholders involved in animal control, urban planning and public health.4. Engage with government and local bodies to understand their specific needs and requirements regarding animal management and welfare.5. Advocate for the adoption of AI-powered solutions for stray dog management by educating government decision-makers on the benefits of AI in improving operational efficiency, animal welfare, and public safety.6. Monitor relevant government tenders, RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and procurement processes to identify potential opportunities for the Company to participate therein.7. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within government and local bodies for animal management solutions.8. Lead the development of proposals for government contracts, ensuring they meet all specifications and requirements.+. Oversee the negotiation and finalization of contracts with government entities, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and budgetary constraints.10. Oversee the preparation and submission of government tenders and proposals.11. Ensure that all bids meet the required specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.12. Stay informed about Animal Birth Control Rules and related laws and regulations.13. Represent the Company at industry events, conferences and meetings with government stakeholders, advocating for the Company’s stray dog management solutions.14. Build a network local governments, municipalities, NGOs and industry groups to raise awareness about the Company’s services.15. Prepare and manage the sales budget for the government business unit.16. Forecast revenue growth and set targets for new business acquisition within the government sector.17. Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on market analysis. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree with specialisation in Business, Sales, Marketing, Public Administration or related field. (Masters preferred)· Additional qualifications or certifications in animal welfare, public sector sales or government procurement are a plus.· Minimum of 6 years of experience in sales and business development.· Animal lover.· Proven track record of successfully securing and managing government contracts.· In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, compliance standards and tendering procedures.· Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.· Experience in building long-term relationships with government agencies and public sector clients.· Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated capacity to build and manage teams.
