Summary of responsibilities:

The Advisor, Human Resources, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is responsible for providing advice and support on human resources services and programs to employees and management. The incumbent will provide valuable guidance and recommendations on employment equity and be responsible for analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, including employee surveys and engagement results. The Advisor will play a crucial role in driving meaningful change by providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to identify, eliminate, and prevent barriers, fostering a more inclusive and equitable work environment. The Advisor, Human Resources, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:

Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in HR in two (2) or more disciplines which may include: performance management, talent management, succession planning or HR policy.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience providing advisory services on HR issues to employees and management.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing DEI training programs and learning pathways.
Experience in leading and the design and delivery of HR strategies, programs and policies including developing key performance indicators for successful realization.
Experience in forming, leading, and facilitating meetings and work groups.
Experience managing multiple files in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting the development or delivery of programs, policies, and procedures in an HR environment.
Strong ability to use a variety of software applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Valuable skills include:

A Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional designation (CCIP™).
A certification or formal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training.
Canadian Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent.
Knowledge of the principles, theories and current trends and practices in the HR field.
Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements that govern HR management.
Ability to efficiently use a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to extract data using existing reports; analyze the data using MS Office applications (intermediate level).
Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
Specific work requirements

Ability to work overtime as required;
Language Profile: CBCC;
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
