Job Purpose
To drive plant HR & IR strategies and HR policies & initiatives including employee engagement, productivity and high performance whilst maintaining a harmonious Industrial relations climate and legal compliance, to enable the achievement of business plans of the plant.
Plant HR & IR
Interface with plant department heads and plant head to understand the business plans & strategy to cascade & align the current and future directions for the HR & IR Develop and drive plans to cater to the growth and capability development of individuals and the workforce Develop plans for talent reviews, development and succession planning to meet current and future talent requirements in collaboration with TM L&;D COE. Confer and collaborate with CHRO and Plant Head to develop and review the strategies and plans for developing and maintaining the desired culture and value systems and to maintain focus on increasing productivity and building high employee engagement Develop IR strategy conferring with plant head and CHRO
Recruitment & Selection
Interface with Plant Head, CHRO and TA COE to conclude Talent acquisition plan in line with Industrial Engineering study and the approved organization structure Obtain validation of manpower requisition (existing and new) as per organization structure for the plant, at review with Plant Head. Engage with TA, and TM COE s to discuss & conclude on skill sets, sourcing (IJP/ external posting, internal movements) for a vacancy or anticipated vacancy management Ensure and facilitate selection, negotiation and offer to maintain effective coordination with TA COE. Ensure workmen hiring as per CLRA Act and trainee as per the Apprenticeship Act adhering to the manpower ceiling of the plant
Onboarding of lateral and Campus Hires
Facilitate a good joining experience by ensuring smooth deployment of the onboarding process Ensure and supervise the handholding of new joiners post-joining activities Monitor the performance of new hires by taking formal and informal feedback mechanisms.
Performance Management Continuously be aware of the performance of the plant and various functions and the HR drivers that have a correlative and causative impact Focus on these key drivers to ensure high performance and manpower productivity Drive Performance Management system in collaboration with the TM Vertical Conduct / Participate in Performance reviews for managerial cadre, Staff and Workmen as per policy norms Monitor regularly key events of performance and non-performance providing inputs/ feedback to the Plant HR Head, CHRO and TM Head for suitable HR actions Counsel employees and ensure counselling by reporting officers and superiors Identify gaps in skills /competencies and Training & Development Needs
Learning & Development
Design and Develop Training Policy and System in alignment with organization requirements with specific relevance to Plant Interface with key stakeholders to understand the Plant level of Business Strategy and the ensuing imperatives for Learning and Competency Skill development for current and future business needs Identify the employee value proposition issues affecting company turnover Collaborate with Talent Management and L& D and OD verticals to list training needs for training; Devise Training Calendar Collaborate with the L&D team and ensure deployment and execution of Individual Development Plans and Leadership Development Plans Drive implementation of T&D and OD initiatives Ensure up-skilling of workers by skill mapping, TNI, training and assessment of the effectiveness of training Identify and ensure actions for improvement
