HR Generalist (Remote, Part-Time)
- Category: Human Resource (HR) Jobs
- Location: Surrey, British Columbia
- Job Type: Full Time / Part Time
- Salary: Estimated: $ 19K to 30K

We’re looking for a passionate and driven HR Generalist to join our team. This is a remote position for BC residents (preferably Vancouver Island or the Lower Mainland based), offering the flexibility to work from anywhere on a flexible schedule, while making a real impact with our clients. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for HR and is looking for flexibility in their hours and location of work, to fit their lifestyle.
As a member of the team, you’ll work with a variety of businesses through our fractional HR engagements and HR projects. One day you might be supporting a client with performance management, and the next you could be building a policy, recruiting, or helping with employee relations. You’ll need to be adaptable, proactive, organized, and energized by a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide day-to-day HR and strategic support to a diverse client base
Contribute to and lead strategic HR initiatives for clients
Develop and update policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention activities and strategies
Advise on employee relations, performance management, and compliance
Help clients build strong, engaged teams and healthy workplace cultures
Assist with the development of client workshops
What We’re Looking For
3+ years in an HR generalist or similar role
CPHR designation (preferred, or working towards)
Solid knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and client needs
Resourceful, tenacious, and gets joy from getting things done
Passionate about helping businesses grow through their people
Enjoys rolling up their sleeves and doing the work — drafting policies, managing employee files, writing job descriptions, supporting investigations, and more
Finds satisfaction in the “doing” as much as the advising — someone who sees follow-through as just as important as big-picture thinking
Appreciates the variety and challenge of working with different clients, industries, and HR needs
Why Join Move HR?
Fully remote work with flexible hours
Meaningful work with a variety of small and medium-sized businesses
Supportive and collaborative team environment
