Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR System Expert to join the Systems Team in the Corporate Services Division to provide support dealing with the day to day running of our People systems (such as One Bank Service (OBS). One Bank Service is a single integrated system that includes our core HR modules for Payroll, Helpdesk, Learning, Talent, Reward, Absence, Recruitment, Performance and Reporting.
This role offers a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills who is interested in joining Corporate Services and gain valuable experience in our operations.
The successful applicant will need to quickly get up to speed on HR policies and current issues, they will also be expected to collaborate closely with teams in the People Directorate and report back any issues or new initiatives which require the team's input and advice. In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will be encouraged to think on your feet, and thrive in a constantly stimulating environment.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, keen to share their expertise and knowledge to provide full training.
Key Responsibilities
• Leading the day-to-day system BAU queries and issues; and managing these through to completion/resolution
• Maintaining and updating the Bank's organisation structure within the system, including roles and positions
• Maintaining and updating Recruitment templates and question library
• Maintaining a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
• Carrying out UAT for system quarterly updates
• Project involvement where required
• Identifying opportunities for ongoing process improvements
Role Requirements
Minimum Essential Criteria
• Proven effective organisational and time management skills, attention to detail and active listening are key skills
• The ability to multi-task, act with urgency to meet deadlines, often operating to fixed time limits and working calmly under pressure
• A proven team player, willing to help others to achieve results with the ability to work on your own initiative and make decisions
• Proven excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences
• Good IT skills with an excellent knowledge of Outlook, OneNote and Word.
• Proven customer services experience, able to work effectively with both internal and external colleagues
• Experience of improving, implementing and maintaining new processes
• Proven experience of using HR systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion)
• Experience of problem solving

Salary and Benefits Information
We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.
This role offers a salary of:
Leeds ranging from £25,520 - £28,710.
London ranging from £28,320 - £30,000.
In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:
• A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/+5th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
• A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
• A 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
• 26 days' annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
• Private medical insurance and income protection.
National Security Vetting Process
Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process (and typically can take between 6 to 12 weeks post offer) and the passing of additional Bank security checks in accordance with the Bank policy.
